Demerara Bank Limited accepts bill payments for Guyana Power & Light Inc and Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Co. Limited. This has proven very successful and convenient for our customers who may find it difficult to go several places. Customers can use our convenient Telebanking Service to pay their bills from the comfort of their homes or offices or they are welcome to vist any of our locations and make their payments over the counter.

Night Deposit Facility
The Night depository located at the bank's premises, is very beneficial for the corporate customer who does not want to keep large sums of cash and/or cheques in their possession overnight. With the use of a handy and well designed bag, your deposit can be placed through the depository chute for overnight safety and verification the next business day.

Demerara Bank's Master Teller Automated Teller Machine and the Money Master Card were launched on December 11th, 1994.. It was the first real time banking service ever to be introduced to the Guyanese public and has since received an overwhelming response.
This 24 hour banking service has proven to be very convenient for customers, allowing them to make withdrawals and deposits at the ATM. Using the Money Master Card, customers can also shop at over 50 merchant locations with the Debit Card/Point of Sale Service.
Demerara Bank offers chequing accounts to businesses of all sizes and individuals. Cheque books are availabe within one to two working days after the request is made and blank requisition forms are attached for the easy re-order of a new cheque book. A monthly statement of your account activity together with all your paid cheques will be mailed to you. With our "First Facts" services our customers can, at their request, have a daily statement sent by way of fax, of all the previous business day transactions, and this is usually sent long before the new business day begins!

Overdraft Facility Corporate Accounts can be overdrawn provided that an overdraft facilty is granted. Statement of Account Availability Transactions for a specific period are printed on a special form at your request and is either mailed to you or uplifted by yourself Night deposit facility With corporate accounts, customers are offered the use of the night depository.
Term deposits are deposit contracts offered on a three, six, nine and twelve month period to our customers. Interest is paid at the end of the term providing that the contract is not broken. At the end of the period, the interest can be added to the principle and the contract renewed for a next term or withdrawn as requested by the customer. This service offers competitive rates and the minimum balance required to operate this account is $100,000.00 (One hundred thousand dollars).

Statement Savings
